Receiving emails from eBay saying that I'm attempting to buy or sell items outside of their platform
I’ve been receiving notifications from eBay indicating that I may be engaging in transactions outside of the eBay platform, but I haven't done so.
Could you please clarify why I’m receiving these notifications? I have never attempted to conduct transactions outside of eBay.

I understand how frustrating this. You have to be a bit of a detective and think like a bot to figure out what is causing the false flag.
The error message sounds like eBay thinks there is a phone number or other contact information in the actual listing.
Here are things to look for and edit to solve this:
1) Does your description mention "PayPal" if so, remove that.
2) Do you have a website URL, an email address, or a phone number in the description, the item specifics, or in the photos?
If so, remove those.
3) A series of 7 or 10 numbers that looks like a phone number?
4) An @ sign in the description?
5) A misplaced period example fitbit.ly lets go.to the mall
6) The word PO Box, Street, Avenue, or other things that could be part of an address?
7) If you copied and pasted the description, there can be a URL hidden in the text. I can explain how to remove that if needed.

OP1 year agoNone of the things you previously mentioned apply. My listings only contain the item description and nothing else.

Mentor1 year ago@digna-1183 You didn't copy text or photos from another site? That can cause problems due to the hidden code that sites use to protect their copyrighted material.
