Receiving Counterfeit Object Instead of Product
Summary: juspin18 purchased a Hatsune Miku figure from a seller on eBay, which turned out to be counterfeit, despite the listing showing images of the authentic product. They attempted to report the issue to eBay, providing photographic evidence, but their report was denied twice. krazzykats suggested initiating a return for an item 'not as described.' juspin18 expressed concern about the seller continuing to deceive others, while jacbarcollectibles advised that action from eBay might require multiple buyers reporting the issue or the brand's rights owner reporting it directly.
So, I recently bought a Hatsune Miku figure that is clearly counterfeit. On the listing, it shows 6 images of the correct official figure. Even the original box it comes in. I looked everywhere through the listing to find anything that mentioned it was a replica, fake, not official, and I could find no such mention. So I requested a return to get a refund, and also reported it to Ebay. I provided side by side pictures of the real with the fake, and my report to Ebay about the listing got denied. Twice now, because I reported it again because I figured I must have typed something wrong.
Here is the listing, and here is my evidence. What can I do to bust this Scammer?

OP1 month agoThe return is being processed(no idea if Ebay will let it go through, under return, Item didn't match description), but I don't want this seller ripping off other people. So I want them taken down if possible. They are selling dozens of fakes. There are negative reports of others who have noticed.
I reported it to Ebay as:
Reason: IP Infringe
Details: Counterfeit Item
And then detailed out the differences within the text limit.
However, I've been denied twice. I don't know how to properly get them delisted or removed for selling fakes. There are other sellers who sell fakes, and list it as unauthentic, but this one has no such claim in their listing.
Does anyone know how I can get them delisted or removed for this?

Mentor1 month agoIt will take multiple different buyers reporting the item through the "Item not as described" case before eBay will take action against the seller. It works faster if the rights owner of the brand reports the item to eBay rather than individual buyers.
