Received return but was just an empty box
Summary: ubu-illbme shared a challenging experience on eBay where they sold a $1000 watch, but the buyer claimed it was faulty and requested a return. I am new to ebay. I sold a 1000.00 watch. The person received and claimed it wasn't working and requested a refund. I approved but item had to be returned. I received the return today only to discover an empty box was returned. I immediately filed a claim for the refund to be investigated as the box that was returned was too small and weight not enough for the watch. In a couple of hours I received an email that they refunded and claim was closed. I filed an appeal and have not heard anything. Now I am out of the cost of the watch plus what I sold it for and the watch. I cannot find anywhere I can call and speak to a human. I tried to find a copy of the return label ebay sent but I can't. I don't see the extra insurancethat i put on in sending it on the box that was returned.Any suggestions I am retired and do this for extra income I can't afford to lose double
