received empty package
Purchased item on ebay and received an empty package. Ebay shows package was delivered so they assume all is ok. Ebay refuses to look any further into this. Seller simply said he would not send empty box. Package was stamped "received unsealed" and "received without contents" by the US postal service. Is there any way to get Ebay to assist with this other than the chat feature that is not able to fix this problem?

If you receive something other than what you ordered, even an empty box, file a "not as described" return and be prepared to return whatever you received. The seller will be required to either refund you outright, or else provide a prepaid return label or pay for tracked return shipping and refund you within three business days of tracking showing delivery back to the seller. If the seller does not cooperate at any point, after three business days you can ask eBay to step in and refund you, for up to twenty-one business days.
