Summary: paperweightfan is experiencing an issue where items are marked as delivered on their eBay page while the items are still at the local post office and delivered the next day. This has occurred several times recently, with tracking discrepancies between St. Louis and Perryville, Missouri. They are seeking an explanation or a fix for this tracking issue.
Why does an item show delivered on my E-bay page when it is still at our local post office and is delivered the next day? This has happened several times in the last month. Our local mail carried does not tack the items. They are tracked in St Louis, Missouri and delivered to our post office in Perryville, Missouri then sorted for delivery; Perryville post office doesn’t track items. So how can E-bay show items delivered, when they are not? Reference order numbers: (03-15131-32381, 09-15063-27337 and 26-15020-57817). Confused, please explain and/or fix.

Mentor1 month agoSounds like the items are being shipped with the eBay Standard Envelope. This service is basically metered mail which is only tracked at sorting centers so when the item reaches the sorting center closest to you it gets scanned as delivered even though it may take a day or two for the actual delivery. This is the way the USPS handles this type of mail and eBay has no control over this.
