Received counterfeit product and it broke, can't return or get money back
I ordered center caps for my Toyota wheels and they claimed to be genuine Toyota parts. They are simple clip on caps and should be very easy to install by anyone, but upon trying to install the first one 2 of the 5 clips snapped off. The seller sent a replacement and I was able to get 3 of them on before the last one also snapped. I was very careful, watched more than a dozen You tube videos before attempting and these counterfeit parts were nothing like the easy installation I saw on You tube. Then I found another seller of Genuine Toyota parts and they provided a picture of the inside of the cap. The counterfeits were missing two important reinforcing braces on all 5 of the tabs. That is why they broke so easily. Also, the counterfeits did not have the Toyota logo. Now I have 3 center caps on my car, the seller will not provide 100% refund unless I fix the broken ones but there is no way to fix a snapped plastic tab. They offer me 50% refund if I change my negative review. E bay does not seem to have any way of resolving this thing. E bay does not even have a complaint department to resolve this. I would rather leave my bad review up there to warn others, loose my money and have to go out and purchase another center cap. Can someone out there help ? Let me know if there is something I can do ?

Mentor1 year agoOpen a Return Request for an ITEM NOT AS DESCRIBED, counterfeit. This overrides no-returns. Seller will pay for the return, if he wants it back, and/or refund. If no response by the fourth day, go back and ask ebay to step in. Do not close or let the case expire without doing this, if not resolved.
