Received an offer for non-working item
I don't recall making a bid on a non-working item, only searching for working items. Today I received an android ebay application notification of an offer for a non-working item. I was not searching for broken items, why would I receive an unprompted offer to purchase a non-working item? Is this ebay company policy? Is it intended to put the support department into a higher echelon of need by customers? Of the innumerable automated decisions that ebay employs in order to drum up business, this is perhaps one of the most egregious. How can I configure the ebay application such that it does not notify me of offers for items in non-working condition?

OP2 years agoI figured out the answer. I had accidentally added the item to my ebay watchlist by mistake. This question is answered!
