Received a counterfeit card
I received a counterfeit Pokemon card, how receptive will eBay be in resolving this? I sent them the listing and a photo of the card I received, which is clearly NOT the item listed. I got a generic email back saying that the listing doesn’t violate policy. Will eBay follow up? Am I screwed?

Most likely the listing didn't violate policy. The listing is all that the bots are able to examine; they don't know that the seller will send you a rock. You have to grasp the concept that there's a difference between a listing that violates policy and a seller who violates policy (trying to steal from you by deliberately sending a fake item).

Mentor3 weeks agoInstead of reporting the listing, return the card for a refund if you are within the time allowed. For most items you have thirty days, but for certain volatile items like collectible cards you may only have three days from delivery to file a return.
If the item is "not as described" you need to start a "not as described" return. You will have to provide a picture of the item and a couple of sentences of text about the issue.

If the seller does not refund you or provide a return shipping label you should be able to ask eBay to step in after three business days. The process is automated; if the seller does not cooperate at any point, ask eBay to step in after three business days but before twenty-one business days has passed.

If you have waited to long to start your case or to ask eBay to step in, you may still have some recourse through your payment method; contact your payment card issuer for details.

You need to file a not as described return request case within 3 days of the date of delivery for trading cards.
The eBay Money Back Guarantee over rules the sellers return policy. You have 30 days from the date of delivery to file a not as described return request for most categories. Trading cards, bullion, coins, paper money, and items that are sold as not working or for parts you only have 3 days from the date of delivery to file a refund request case.
Here's what you need to do:
You should open a Return Request. Reason> Doesn't Match photos and description
Select the return item button on this page:

4 business days after filing the return request if the seller has not provided a return shipping label or a full refund then ask eBay to step in and help: https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/ask-ebay-to-step-in?id=4701
Let me know if you need to return an item to another country as there are additional steps required. The seller pays return shipping for an item that is not as described no matter where they are located.
