Receieved Defect USPS Tracking did not start

Question

I sold an item on 3/4/24. I printed the label 3/4/24. USPS picked up the package along with several other packages on 3/5/24. The package didn't show it was picked up on 3/5/24 and didn't show any tracking until 3/14/24. I received a defect because the item was delivered late. I asked for the defect to be removed but it was denied. I don't know what I could have done differently or how to prevent this from happening again.

Use a SCAN form, then talk to your mail carrier - make sure he knows that scanning the form is important for you.

If you use a SCAN form and get a scan within your handling time, your item will not be marked late no matter how late the delivery.

To create a SCAN form, use the bulk label purchase link. After printing your labels, click SCAN form in the upper right.

You don't have to 100% on tracking upload and late deliveries, even to be top rated. This is why eBay will not remove the late shipment mark unless it will actually affect your performance rating.
