Realized I never received item I bought in 2020
Hello eBay Community -
I've been a Seller and Buyer since 1999 and have never experienced this yet.
I bought and paid for a "pre-sale" or a "pre-sale reservation" on a double album back in September of 2020. I completely forgot about it and just today realized I never received it - nor do I ever receive a refund. It was a gift for my wife, a $100 purchase! I've messaged the Seller several times, but of course I'm getting no response. What's also interesting is this Seller has a 100% positive feedback rating.
I cannot open a case because eBay won't allow me to go that far back in my purchases to select the item.
Can anyone give me any advice? Am I really just out of luck (and $100) because I forgot about it for so long?

OP3 years agoThank you for sharing this! But this Seller clearly violated eBay policy according to this Presale Policy. The listing did not guarantee the item to be shipped in 30 days. Purchased in Sept and listing indicates receiving in Dec. This is an unbelievable scam that I cannot believe eBay would not try to help resolve.

OP3 years agoAgain, I appreciate your responses. If that’s the truly the case, that’s absolute **bleep**. The amount of time shouldn’t matter.

·3 years agoThis is why they have the presell policy and buyers should know it as well as the sellers so something like this doesn't happen.
Ebay would resolve it if you had opened a case before the MBG expired, which is 30 days after the estimated delivery date.
