Summary: oklmed is seeking advice on why their cordless drill listing was flagged as a medical device violation, despite similar ones being previously accepted. eastlaneave suggests that changes to the photos or listing specifics might have triggered an automated system, advising against relisting for now. inceptions asks about the category and specifics used, implying that misclassification could be the issue. oklmed notes that the listing is identical to previous ones except for new photos.
Can anyone tell me why this item was flagged as a medical device violation. It's a cordless drill and does not require a prescription or an authorization to purchase. What would cause this item to be flagged? The description is the same as others I have listed that were not flagged. I previously appealed the restriction and won but when it resisted it was flagged again. I am trying to figure out what triggered the violation. I have read all the policies, not looking for a refresh course on the rules.

Mentor5 days agoHi @oklmed
What category did you list it in? What intended use did you enter in the item specifics?
I'm looking at one of the items you sold recently (a cordless driver) and saw this:
Could you have used Sell Similar from this listing or entered the wrong information for category and item specifics?

I can see you sold similar items before and I see others listed.
Something about the Title, Item Specifics, Description, or Photo triggered this.
I can't see the full pulled down listing, and I would just be guessing since I am not familiar with this equipment.
Compare your prior listings with this listing.
The main photo is different... what about the rest of the listing.
Either way, I would not relist this item at this time. The same bot that pulled it before will be watching your account and pull it again; then you'll have 3 pulldowns which gets serious.
I'm sorry that happened.

Either the photo triggered the bot or eBay doesn't allow this type of item and is in the process of removing them.
