What are the steps to be taken when an item is listed as delivered on the site but you never received it? Tried contacting the seller but he is no longer listed on ebay.
If tracking indicates that the item has been delivered, then it is no longer the responsibility of the seller nor Ebay.
Check with your neighbors to see if the package was mis-delivered
Contact the shipping company (USPS, UPS, etc.), provide the tracking number, and ask them to investigate exactly where the item was delivered using their GPS technology.
The item may have been stolen after delivery in which case you should report the possible theft to your local law enforcement. In case of theft, contact your homeowner’s insurance if the item is worth more than your deductible or you have already met your deductible.
