Re: Problem with the "confirm return button lighting up"
I may have a possible solution for those of you currently experiencing difficulty when returning an item for a refund. I have performed some of the following steps which, for me, were successful:
1) Go to the "My EBay" link on the home screen to show a drop-down menu;
2) Click "Purchase History" on the right side of the page;
3) From the "Purchases" page select the item you want to return;
4) Click "More Actions" to show a list of options;
5) Click and select "Return this item";
6) From the "Return Item" page, it will ask you why you are returning this item (eg., "Item is Defective");
7) Click Next;
😎 On the next page, provide a few details. "Give us a little more info" to briefly describe why you wish to return the item;
9) Add photos [required] to confirm your return request. Click on the "Order Number" to take you back to your original "Order Details" page;
10) Click on the enlargement of the image that you wish to return. Below the enlargement is a gallery of one or several smaller photos that can be attached;
11) Right-click and select "Save Image As" a file download. Give the file a new name. Repeat this step if needed. ***Note; you can select up to 10 duplicate images.***
12) From the "Return Item" page, go to "Add Photos (0/10)", and click the "plus" symbol inside the box. File Explorer will launch with the image that is saved;
13) Select/highlight the image that is to be attached, and click "Open" to attach the image (Confirm Return button should immediately light up even after the first attachment);
14) Repeat steps 10-14, if needed, until the confirm button lights up (up to 10 images total);
15) You should receive an e-mail for a QR code, shipping label and packing list when done.
Hope this helps you all out a liitle bit!!!

Mentor3 years agoIt sounds as if you are attaching photos from the original listing. What eBay wants you to do is attach your own photos of the received it (and photos of packaging if a damage claim). This allows the seller and eBay to see what the problem is with the item you received (and provides images the seller can use for an insurance claim if applicable).
