Re-open a closed return

Question

I closed a return on an electronic item before the final return date. Then I discovered the electronic item does not work. I have contacted the seller repeatedly with no response. I need to return the item before the original return window closes.

When a return request is closed, it cannot be reopened.

As @lady_madonna mentioned once a Return has been closed it cannot be reopened nor can another one be initiated. You can certainly try going through your CC Company as you indicated but they may or may not support you since you closed the eBay return.

The Seller of course is off the hook to refund you once the return is closed.

@bigstrike < I have contacted the seller repeatedly with no response > Repeatedly? I think the seller has conveyed his response. Don't waste your time anymore. You're probably not going to be able to take a second bite of the apple, but, just to be sure for peace of mind, attempt to open a Not Ask Described return. If unsuccessful, you can resort to requesting a chargeback from the credit card you used for funding the purchase.
