re: item was returned to seller, yet not acknowledged
Summary: marknyc10 is frustrated because they returned an item and have confirmation of delivery from USPS, but the seller has not refunded them or responded to messages. eBay closed their return request, and they haven't been able to contact eBay for further help. disneyshopper advises that if a tracking number shows the item was delivered, the seller should refund within two days or marknyc10 should contact eBay to enforce the refund. However, since the case is already closed, they suggest contacting the credit card issuer for a chargeback if it was paid by card.
I've gone through the process of returning an item, and did so. I have confirmation via USPS that it was received. I have not received confirmation from the seller that they received the return, and have not been refunded the purchase amount. The seller will not respond to messages. eBay has closed my return request, and it seems I have no recourse, and cannot find a way to contact anyone at eBay.
I'm close to contacting my credit card company, and am about to post negative feedback, but thought I'd reach out here for advice first.
Has anyone had trouble reaching anyone at eBay? This is very frustrating.

Mentor3 weeks agoIf the return tracking number shows Delivered back to the seller, the seller has 2 days to refund you. If no refund, you go back to the case and click Ask ebay, when it shows up, to force the refund. If you do nothing, ebay will automatically close the case. You stated that ebay closed the case, so you waited too long to do anything. If you paid with a credit card, contact the card issuer regarding a chargeback. Most credit card issuers will help if you file within 180 days of the transaction.

OP3 weeks ago2 days is not much time. I guess we should all say "buyer beware" when using eBay. (shrug)
