Re: Counter offers
A seller came back with a counter offer on an item. I went to accept the order approximately three or fours hours after they made it and the item was gone. I looked on their store site and they had relisted the item for a higher price. I contacted the seller and they said that they are allowed to do this if they want. Is this allowed on Ebay to do this to buyers?

My grocery store changes prices weekly on several of the items I shop for. My gas station changes prices daily. A major competitor of eBay's has an algorithm that evaluates and changes prices every ten minutes on the items it sells. Every seller can set his prices and change them as often as he needs to - on eBay as everywhere else.
