Hi! I was wondering if there was a way to see who left ratings for feedback. I see that I have 100% positive feedback, but my item description is 4.9 and my descriptions are very detailed and I also received a 4.8 out of 5 stars for reasonable shipping. I offer mostly free shipping or calculated shipping, yet I got a 4.8 so I am confused. Are those anonymous or can you see which buyer left those so that you can address the situation to see what you need to improve or for them to change their rating. I have 100% positive feedback with great remarks, but I don't like that I have a 4.8 and a 4.9 because I'm not sure why I was given those ratings because no one ever mentioned it to me and I always follow up with every purchase.

The Buyers that leave you Detailed Seller Ratings are anonymous for privacy reasons. It's similar to your Watchers and Followers.
Shipping costs are so high now, I think some Buyers take their frustrations out on some Sellers.
If it's any comfort, I offer free shipping and a random Buyer left me less than five stars for shipping costs.

OP6 months agoI hate they left you less than 5 stars when you offer free shipping. I was offering free shipping on everything, but then I was losing money with packing materials and boxes so I started using calculated shipping. I am no where close to the amount of items you have sold and I have just sold some in the past and just started selling again because I just retired and wanted something to do. I try to provide a great service to every buyer and when I my rating dropped from 5 to 4.8 it bothered me and I wanted to see what I could do better, but figured it was anonymous after I tried searching and looking it up. You have made me feel better though because I try to offer great service to all buyers and really go out of my way to send them personal notes included in their purchases and even follow up with every one after they receive their purchase. I guess I have to accept I can't please everyone. So far my feedback is 100% positive, but I'm sure that will change over time because right now I have only sold around 100 items. I'm no where close to you!!! I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my question. I hope you have a great day and thank you again as you made me feel much better.

Mentor6 months agoSellers used to be judged on these ratings, called detailed seller ratings (DSR). We are no longer judged on them, so they don't really matter. There will always be buyers who think shipping is high, even if you use exact cost. This is for one reason--it is high! But that's not up to us, so it doesn't matter their opinion. Don't stress over these numbers! And no, you can't see who left what.

I was worried as this is new to me and I was at 5 stars for all categories and then I saw I went to 4.8 on reasonable shipping, but was still at 100% on positive feedback. I have sold about 100 items and every thing was great then I just noticed the drop and I was concerned because I didn't know what I did differently to deserve the rating. Thank you for your reply as it helped to ease my mind that I didn't do anything. I have received a couple of replies after I asked this question and I'm getting the same responses so it is making me feel better. Thank you again for taking the time to reply. Mentor6 months agoAFAIK, if the listing offers Free Shipping, you get an automatic 5 stars. The buyer is unable to give a rating for that metric.

I agree with the others, that it wasn't something you did. Some buyers have different scales, or hierarchies, of judgement, and will ding you with a 4 for an imagined slight. Others have a philosophical aversion due to their belief that there's no such thing as perfection, and never give anyone the highest rating on any type of review or survey. Some are just habitually sullen. Don't worry about it.
