Random account restriction
My account was restricted for no reason Ive only ever bought 2 things on this account and I decided I wanted to list the thing that I bought as I didnt want it anymore but when I got to the filling out the bank details part It said at the top your account is restricted please contact us to solve the problem so thats what I did all the agents I contacted told me the same thing my account restriction was permanent and that I wont be able to buy or sell anything on ebay and just to add to it any accounts related to mine would also be suspended meaning I can never buy or sale on ebay ever again and for what reason? well apparently all I needed to do was check my ebay messages to see the reason for the restriction but I didnt find one the closest I got to an answer was that my account was viewed as a danger to ebay and its community?? again all Ive ever done on ebay is buy 2 things so why was my account restricted and why can I never use ebay ever again consequences that big is something I would expect for someone selling illegal items or scamming people but no thats what they have done for me for doing absolutely nothing.

OP1 year agoThanks this was honestly more helpful than what I found out from the actual agents I think they also might not of liked that my ip changed alot because I switch my ip why using my VPN but thats only so that I can watch different shows on netflix

Mentor1 year agoVPN can cause issues with eBay's security. I bet that was the problem.

This is volunteer help on eBay.com in the US. The UK site likes to send us visitors.
I can tell you that here in the US eBay links accounts by IP addresses so if you used the same IP, public even, that another person that had a suspended account used you can be banned. This is because eBay can't see whose fingers are using the keyboard.
If eBay said it was permanent then I am sorry to say that there is no coming back from that.
