Questionable Seller
Summary: doorcountycomiccollector is a comic book seller on eBay who found their original listing image being used by another seller on GoCollect.com, claiming a sale at a suspiciously low price. They are seeking advice on how to report this seller. jacbarcollectibles responded that eBay may allow images to be used by others, so there might not be grounds for a report to eBay.
As a seller of comic books on eBay, I ran into a scenario where on GoCollect.com (which is a site to get what a graded book value is, what it sold for, etc) I found an entry of a book sold which I actually have that someone else claims to have sold. The image used in the listing is my original image from my own listing. The book itself was sold at an outrageously lowball price... so it is claimed to be.. how can I report this seller?

OP5 days agoI appreciate the quick response. I understand your point but the one issue with all this is this was a CGC graded book which contains a unique CGC number. The image that they used is assumed they were selling that unique book with a unique CGC number on it. The person buying that particular book got scammed. There is no way that exact book was sold to that person because it's been on my site for sale. Thx!

Mentor6 days agoWhen you made the listing you agreed to allow eBay to place your images into their photo gallery for use by other sellers. So there is nothing to report to eBay.
