Question regarding canceled shipping labels
Summary: teamturner_912 asked about the refund process for a canceled USPS shipping label on eBay, as the item exceeded the weight limit. krazzykats mentioned it could take up to 10 days, while comics-scifi-collectibles clarified that it might take about 21 days for the refund to appear in the transaction summary, as USPS needs to ensure the label is unused.
I sold an oversized item on eBay and I thought that it was within the dimensions allowed by USPS so I created the shipping label through the eBay app however I had the post office weigh the item before scanning the label to make sure that it wasn't oversized. Turns out it was 4 lb over the 70 lb limit so I canceled the label in the eBay app and I reshipped with a different carrier. My question is when will I see the amount of the original shipping label credited back to the order? It's currently shows that the label is canceled in the app but the cost of the label has not been credited back to that order.

Mentor3 weeks ago · Edited@teamturner_912 You will not see a refund from USPS for the label for about 21 days. They have to make sure that it is not used.
The refund will show on your account in the All transactions section of your summary page.
