Question on immediate pay fee.

Question

I recently sold an item with immediate pay. It was sold -best offer . I’m not sure but I believe by accepting the offer negates time to pay up to 4 days over riding the immediate payment. Do I still get charged the fee? it’s been over 12 hours. Thanks for your time.

Immediate payment required applies to Buy it now items or Auctions with the Buy it now price option added to the listing. It means Buyers pay during checkout at the time of the order.

When an offer is accepted by either party the Immediate payment requirement does not apply. There is no specific time frame Buyers have to pay. The 4 days you refer to is only if you are not paid in 4 days and want to cancel on day 5 to give the Buyer an unpaid item strike. The cancellation flow on day 5 adds an additional reason for cancelling, "Buyer hasn't paid".

Last year eBay implemented Auto-pay for the purpose of having Buyers pay more quickly for winning Auctions or on an accepted offer. Auto-pay requires a Buyer to provide a payment method PRIOR to bidding on auctions or participating in the Offer process. If they win an auction or an offer is accepted by either party their selected payment method is charged on hour later OR they can change the payment method within that hour but either way they pay. On the following page near the bottom you can turn Auto-pay ON or OFF for both Auctions and the Offer process. Buyer management | eBay

NOTE: Auto-pay does have a drawback and if you have it turned ON and also offer Combined shipping then eBay will give Buyers 7 days to continue shopping or pay ... their reason for this is they think Buyers may want to take advantage of combined shipping and buying more from the Seller ...

@lat27fla . There's not a fee for requiring immediate payment. Can you please clarify what you are referring to. Do you have the request buyers to provide a payment method before making a bid or offer checked in account settings? If yes then if the buyer makes an offer then they are charged immediately. If you don't have the setting to require auto payment checked in account settings then the item may remain for sale until paid for.
