Question about how eBay ships from authenticator
I shipped an expensive piece of jewelry to the buyer. eBay sent it to an authenticator. Buyer says she did not receive package although tracking shows that it was delivered four days ago. My question is how does eBay handle insurance from authenticator to buyer? I insured this for $1000 And requested a signature. The tracking says simply package handed to an individual†and I cannot seem to get a POD from USPS. Does eBay ship the package from the authenticator to the buyer using the same insurance and in this case request for signature?

Below is a link tot he Authenticity Help page and on on insurance claims. The fact that your item was signed for at the Authenticators the damage issue would have been between the authenticator and the Buyer ... whether the damage is real or an attempted scam.
A return is sent back to the authenticators and then back to you. Your return Policy for the item is in place for that from what I can deduce. Not sure what your International return policy is but Domestic is 14 days and Buyer pays the return shipping.
Sadly, eBay does not detail all the particular claim circumstances in the Help Pages, especially international shipments. I would assume the Authenticators would have insurance coverage for their shipping portion to the Buyer ...
