question about " combined shipping rule(optional)" line on listing page

Hi, I have a question about the "combined shipping rule" line when making a listing

There is a box next to this line and when I check it the number 1393159017 comes up as one of the options (vs "none")to choose for this line -what does this number mean?

My goal is for my buyers to be able to combine shipping automatically when purchasing multiple items to save them money and me hassle

You can have multiple combined shipping rules - if you do not name them, eBay assigns a number.

Check what rules you have, and create custom rules as needed on this page - click edit next to combined shipping rules - https://www.ebay.com/ship/prf
