Question about buyer dispute payments
I recently listed and sold an Xbox. I packed the box and printed the label and then the next day I took it to the post office. Before the item physically shipped the buyer filed a dispute. I was able to go back to the post office and get the item before it shipped. My question is about accepting the dispute. I have no problem accepting the dispute, but Ebay paid me $390 (which is appropriate after fees and shipping), but they want to take $460 from my account for the dispute. I don't want to loose $70 on this transaction, so any advice on how to proceed or any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

·3 years agoAt your post office, speak to a supervisor about how to get refunded for the label cost.

Mentor3 years agoIf you accept the cancellation, and fully refund the buyer, ebay will credit you back the Final Value Fee that was charged. You will need to Void the shipping label. Not sure how that would be handled since I assume your post office scanned the shipping label.
