Question about authenticator
Summary: preloveditemsboutique received an email stating that their item was miscategorized and thus ineligible for an Authenticity Guarantee. comics-scifi-collectibles and lisa5768 provided guidance, noting that a Pokemon card had been listed in the incorrect category. preloveditemsboutique expressed concerns about a customer's dissatisfaction due to the authentication issue and inquired about intercepting the package to ensure the correct item is returned.
I just got an email from authenticator that said this.
Hi! We wanted to let you know that your item is on its way to the buyer. Unfortunately, the authenticator determined that the item was miscategorized and is therefore ineligible for our Authenticity Guarantee. This may be disappointing for your buyer, so if you have similar listings, we recommend you update the item details to ensure this doesn’t happen again. In the meantime, we’ll notify them to let them know their order is on the way. How do I know in what part was miscategorized ? Thank you Karla

OP1 week agoThank you for your reply.
Indeed, the product in question is the one that had an issue with the authentication process.
My question is regarding the following situation: I understand that an email was sent to the customer informing them that the product could not be authenticated. However, I know that this is a genuine card, as it was authenticated by other parties before being sent to the customer.
The customer obviously does not want to keep the card after receiving the authentication result. At this point, I would like to know what the best course of action would be.
Would it be possible for me to submit a request with USPS to have the package intercepted and returned directly to my address? Or should I wait for the customer to receive the return package and trust that they will return the exact same card that was originally sent to them?
My main concern is making sure that I receive the same card back and that there is no possibility of the customer returning a different card.
Please let me know what you recommend I do in this situation.
Thank you for your help.

If it was the Pokemon game card you put it in a trading card category not as a card game card. Single cards for card games need to be listed in Toys & Hobbies >Collectible Card Games>Single Cards.
