Question
I've been buying items on eBay for a long time, and I've noticed that for some items, the price of the item and shipping are added together, and then tax is added to the total. I'd like to know if this is normal.

eBay collects sales tax on behalf of each state based on their sales tax laws. Most states require sales tax to be chrged on shipping.
