How can you tell if an item has been sold before you hit the buy now icon?

Mentor2 years agoIf the item has been sold on eBay, you won't be able to use the buy-it-now button.
If you mean how can you tell if the seller actually has the item in stock or not, examine the seller's feedback for clues about what kind of seller you are dealing with. Sellers that make a habit of canceling transactions due to "out of stock" issues don't sell on eBay for very long.
