Sold something and put wrong shipping tracking number now payment on hold

If you manually typed the wrong tracking number, you will be able to remove the tracking number.

If eBay automatially put the tracking number there, you can't remove it, although you can get a refund for the label.

-- You should add the tracking number that was used when you shipped your item so you have eBay seller protection, and can get paid.

The tracking number will be printed on the receipt (USPS tracking number is usually a 22-digit number)

- Go to the Sold section of My eBay. https://www.ebay.com/mys/sold

- Click "Edit tracking"

- Click "+ additional tracking number"

- Add the actual tracking number and the carrier.

- Click "Save and Continue"

TIP: You can't edit or delete the first tracking number, and that is ok. Just add the correct number.
