Purchases made by buyer from international address that is excluded in my preferences
I excluded Puerto Rico from shipping in my preferences yet a buyer from Puerto Rico was able to purchase several items from my store. How did this happen?

eBay allows foreign Buyers to use US based forwarding companies. By establishing the US address they are free to purchase on the .com eBay site if Sellers have Puerto Rico excluded as a place they ship to.
However, you are only responsible to the US address for deliveries and returns, the Buyer has to pay to get their items delivered to their country.

Mentor1 month agoThere would not be the foreign transaction fee as PR is part of the USA and uses US Dollars. This would be treated as a normal purchase.

Mentor1 month agoWhy do you want to exclude Puerto Rico? You can use the USPS to ship to them. PR is considered domestic shipping, probably zone 8 if you are located on the west side of the USA.

OP1 month agoIf you must know, I ship vinyl records which are fragile. It turns out the buyer had a US address which was not shown in the email sales notice from Ebay because the customer was waiting for a multi-purchase invoice. I messaged him and he messaged back with his US address.
