Purchases Item from Reputable Seller, But Hasn't Shipped?
I purchased an item from what seems like a reputable seller last Tuesday, the 18th. They have 98.5% Positive Feedback & 6.4K Items sold. I am supposed to receive the item between the 27th and 31st of this month, yet my item has not shipped. I have reached out to the seller TWICE, now, and have yet to receive any responses. Should I get eBay involved at this point or just wait?I live in the United States and the item seems to be coming from Japan (a Nintendo New 3DS XL console). Thanks!

Mentor3 years agoWhen it's past the estimated delivery date shown in your Purchase History, you have up to 30 days to use the option next to the transaction to open a case for an item not received. The seller will have 3 business days to prove delivery or refund. If he doesn't, go back to the case on day 4 and use the option to ask eBay to step in. They will force the refund.
Nothing can be done until then.

OP3 years agoSo with regards to the seller not responding to my 2 inquiries, is that normal? I find it odd that someone has yet to respond to me. Maybe it's a language barrier since I am purchasing from someone in Japan? I am not sure, but it is odd to me that they have not provided me any answers to my questions.
Thank you for the response, though!

Mentor3 years agoGood sellers reply to messages, but not all sellers communicate.

Mentor3 years agoGo to your Purchase History and locate the purchased item. What is the last estimated delivery date? You have up to 30 days past that date in order to file an Item Not Received case, to get your money back.
If it is past the 30 day limit, you will need to log into Paypal and file an Item Not Received case there, if that is how you paid, as they allow up to 180 days from date of purchase to file, to get your money back.
If you paid with a credit card, file a charge back with your credit card issuer.
If the tracking number shows the package as DELIVERED, the seller has done his/her job.
The buyer has to track down the package: check with household members, neighbors, bushes, porch.
If the package still cannot be found, buyer needs to take the tracking number down to the post office. They can check their internal systems to see who scanned and delivered the package and check with that postal carrier to see if s/he remembers the package.
Someone may have stolen the package out of the mailbox or off the porch. File a report with the police department.
