Purchased Samsung 870 EVO drive (case closed)
Summary: In a concluded discussion, wizegen mentions purchasing a Samsung 870 EVO drive. eburtonlab briefly responds, but the details of the conversation are not provided. The case has been closed.
I purchased two Samsung 870 EVO drives. The drives are not authentic Samsung drives and one of the drives has failed. The seller said he had a 60 day return policy. I am still within the 60 day return period. I put in a request for the return. I received a notification back that the case had been closed and that I cannot appeal. I don't know how to ask ebay to look into this situation. I thought I could trust ebay to review the circumstances, but it seems that maybe that don't want to get involved with a company that has so many sales through ebay. Is there a way to contact ebay by phone?

Someone willing to sell you counterfeit drives is probably also willing to lie about having a generous return policy.
If an item on eBay is "not as described" you need to start a "not as described" return within thirty days of receiving it if you want help from eBay.
Then if the seller does not refund you or provide a return shipping label you then should be able to ask eBay to step in after three business days. The process is automated; if the seller does not cooperate at any point, ask eBay to step in before twenty-one business days has passed.

If you did not start your eBay case within thirty days, you may still have some recourse through your payment method; contact your card issuer for details. Many credit cards offer up to six months of protection from the date of purchase.
