Purchased an item from another country, seller cancelled the order. I was still charged fee.
Long story short, I purchased an item on eBay from another country and my bank charged me a "foreign transaction fee" only for the seller to cancel the order a week later.
eBay is basically just refunding me the purchase amount (understandable) however my banks foreign transaction fee is just staying there. Not sure if this is something eBay will reimburse me for but it's kind of messed up considering I used this website for safe transactions and I was cancelled on with no type of explanation from eBay at all, nothing I can do on my side as a buyer and I cannot contact eBay directly.

Mentor3 years agoCheck with your bank directly to see what the policy is on foreign transactions that are refunded.
eBay can only refund you for the original transaction that went through eBay, not any other fees your bank may have tacked on that were never actually sent to eBay.
