PSA, Beware of Price increase due to Tariffs
I made a purchase from a highly rated company Top Nail Shop, 1.9 million items sold, 99% positive feedback, a few months ago. I wanted to repurchase the product again, I was shocked to see the price is now $79.99, when I made my purchase a few months ago it was $55.99, a $24.00 price increase. I sent a message to the store asking why the price increased and was told it was due to tariffs. I let the representative know tariffs did NOT go into effect until August 15, 2025. This product is distributed and manufactured in California, USA, there are NO tariffs on products made in the USA and I asked again why the price increase, I did not get a response. I’m unable to write a review for this company or to give any feedback. Beware when companies are saying their prices have increased due to tariffs because it simply maybe they are price gouging. Research what products have tariffs, not all products from foreign countries have increased tariffs and those products that did have an increased tariff did not increase substantially. It’s wrong to increase prices and say it is due to tariffs when it has nothing to do with tariffs, it’s just them raising prices and trying to take advantage of you.
