Proof of Authenticity
Hello,
I am contacting you regarding an item I purchased on eBay through international shipping to Korea. I have been asked by local authorities to submit proof of authenticity for this item. Specifically, they require the original purchase receipt showing that the item was sourced from an authorized store or seller.
I have contacted the seller multiple times to request this documentation. However, the seller has informed me that they can only provide a packing slip and are unable to supply the original purchase receipt or invoice from an authorized retailer.
As an individual buyer, I do not have access to the seller’s original sourcing documents, and without this proof I may face penalties or disadvantages. I would like to ask for eBay’s guidance and assistance on how to proceed in this situation.
Could you please advise whether my eBay order details, payment records, seller information, and message history can be used as alternative proof of authenticity, or if there are any other documents that eBay can provide or recommend for this purpose?
Thank you very much for your time and support. I appreciate your assistance and look forward to your guidance.
