Promised refund not appearing
Purchased item from eBay 3-08-26 $6.29, was charged on credit card linked to PayPal. Item was never received. Notified seller and was promised a refund that never showed up. I have verified directly with the credit card company and there is no refund. There is no refund in my PayPal account either. PayPal referred me back to eBay. Reported to seller but seller is no longer communicating with me.
What's my next step?

OP5 months agoThank you for your response. Yes, the seller dragged this on so long with promises of checking back with carrier, etc. then promised a refund that never showed up. Now I know it was on purpose so the dispute window would pass. I tried PayPal but they keep referring me back here. All I could do was leave a negative review and explain in detail so others could hopefully see it. There was a time when eBay sellers had no immunity against unscrupulous buyers but now apparently, the tables have turned.

Mentor5 months agoJust asking a seller for a refund does not guaranty you will receive it. You needed to have opened an Item not received case within 30 days of the last estimated delivery date shown on your purchase history. You are most likely past this deadline to open the case on eBay. You will need to open the case on PayPal and they will decide the outcome. Once you go to your payment source eBay can no longer help you.
