product returns for Not As Described reasons
I need some advice on a recent sale I made. The customer asked me for a refund of a vintage tin toy that I sold him. He emailed me asking about it and while I was sending a response he went and opened a return request before I had a chance to finish my response. The reason for return is that it does not match the description.
The customer then presented to me an auction of the same toy that I sold him from another website (liveauctioneers). I saw the listing and it sold for almost $100 less than what he paid me. The listing also has multiple pictures and yes it looks like the one I sold him. The big problem is that the listing specifically states that parts on the toy were replaced.
The customer claims that this the exact same one I sold him. He claims that I left the information out of the ad on purpose. He believes that I purchased the item and knew of the flaw. That is not true. I did not purchase the item from a website that he came up with.
Can anyone help me out here please.

Mentor4 months agoAccept the return. If you refuse, ebay can refund the buyer from your funds, you receive a defect for an unresolved transaction, you do not get the FVF credited, and the buyer does not need to return the item.
