Product Return not working

Question

Purchased and it came defective. The seller had it listed "no returns" i contacted the seller and he said I should "contact seller" then "request return" and then "item defective" and that is as far as ebay will let me go (continue). The continue button never turns blue.

Ideas?

The seller was answering my messages but has since stopped.

What should be my next step

ebay help has been no help

@workhorse52 Within 30 days from date of delivery, go to your Purchase History, find the item, and under â€œMore actionsâ€ click on â€œReturn itemâ€ and select the reason for the return. â€œdefective". Attach a photo if required, IF your request is approved, the seller will have 3 business days to either accept the return and provide a prepaid return shipping label OR refund without having you return the item. If they don't do either within the 3 business days, you can go back to your Return Request details 4 business days after you filed the Request and ask Ebay to step in.
