Why does Ebay sell Allstate protection plans when this company gives you a run around if trying to file a claim.
I open a claim, filed online, chat with agent, the replies you can choose on the insurance company's site didn't describe my issue. The the site send you a message to call them, the phone prompt ask you to go back and file online (already done) back on the phone, got an agent after half an hour, claim filed again, now let's pray. I buy insurance of many product and travel too, rarely have to file but it's usually smooth, not so with Allstate. They want me to ship back the item, but when a Lithium Ion battery swell it becomes a fire hazard and the post office will not ship it, Catch 22. Besides, a tablet contain personal info. They want you to send a tablet with a swollen lithium ion battery but the USPS will not due to fire risk. Just took me an hour to get this solved, I do not recommend.

OP2 years agoWell, persistence pay, I finally got them to confirm the payout but what a battle. The organization just wants you to give up.
