Problems with Shipping Labels
I bought a label to send a package via FedEx Ground. When I went to ship, I was told the package weighed more than what I thought. I didn't ship and cancelled the label. It's been 17 days and still no refund. I relisted item with additional weight and item sold. I printed label with correct weight. Now I get an email from Ebay that I owe over $10 for underpayment. I believe FedEx is charging regular rate instead of the discount Ebay is supposed to offer. I called FedEx to ask about my initial refund and they were extremely nasty saying this is a post office issue. I'm in the middle, out $10 for the cancelled label and now another $10 for additional charge. This way I'm paying buyers to take my stuff, especially with Ebay's high transaction fees. Has anyone had difficulty with getting refunds and with no getting the supposed Ebay "discount" on ship charges? What did you do to get this corrected? Thanks so much for listening.

The refund will come about 21 days after you cancel.
Fedex isn't going to know about the specific label refund. If you did the process to cancel on eBay, the label should show 'cancellation requested' or something similar and you will get your refund.

Fedex is notorious for adding upcharges after shipment. I won't use them to ship on eBay.
The most important thing is to know to use the actual exterior measurements, rounded up to the nearest inch, not the size printed on the box, but there are other fees they add at times.

OP5 months agoThanks for your reply. I thought the price quoted by Ebay for the labels is the exact amount seller pays, of course making sure the weight is accurate. If FedEx upcharges, then why does Ebay list them as with "Ebay discount." Then Ebay should be responsible for the upcharge, certainly not me. By paying $10 plus, I got nothing for my item. Adding in my 2 round trips to FedEx, this was truly a big loss for me. I will never use FedEx again. I called Ebay to review this charge, but is there anything I can do to get my $10 refunded? Ebay is at fault for listing the price as a discount and not letting sellers know that it isn't "set in stone" like the post office.

eBay offers a significant discount, however Fedex has all sorts of reasons they add upcharges.
I'm sorry that happened.
You will see many similar stories about Fedex if you chat with eBay sellers.
