Problems purchasing abroad

I am trying to purchase an item from the United States and I live in the UK. Every time I try to check out with the item I get a red banner saying that the seller doesnâ€™t post to my country even though the seller claims to do so when asked about it. The seller claims to have no problems on their end and I am opted into the global shipping programme just in case. I have had no problems buying from the US before and I checked the sellerâ€™s listing and there was no explicit mention about my country being excluded.

I could really use some help on this issue please.

@sthistle123-4 The UK has MANY restrictions on imports and sellers often do not understand how the eBay International Shipping Program works.

Not all items can ship to all locations due to restrictions of the eBay International Shipping Program and country specific import restrictions.

If you share the item number I can take a look to see if it's being falsely flagged by the bots due to a keyword. This is rare but it does happen.

Examples of false flags that I helped members with are keywords of gold and sliver when the items are only that color and no precious metals, hairspray when it was just a magazine title etc... The sellers reword the listings and they then qualify for EIS.
