PROBLEM WITH REFUND DUE TO FRAUD
Summary: luiscortes9210 shared their experience of purchasing a 34" Acer Nitro monitor from a vendor, only to receive a used and damaged product in Colombia. They faced difficulty in returning the item due to being in a different country from their mailbox in Florida, and the vendor has not been responsive. Additionally, they are unable to contact eBay support as their country isn't supported for calls, leaving them frustrated and unable to resolve the issue.
A few weeks ago, I bought a new 34" Acer Nitro monitor from Vipoutlet. I don't live in the United States, so I use a mailbox in Florida where I pay for shipping to my country. The monitor arrived at my house in Colombia over the weekend, and it was used. It was covered in dust, the screen was damaged and cracked, it had no protective foam or anything, and it was missing cables. I requested a return, and they generated a FedEx ticket, but with my mailbox address in Florida, and I'm in Colombia. The seller isn't responding to my messages, and I can't contact an eBay agent because my country isn't on the list of countries they can call. So, I'm at a standstill; all I want to do is cry.

Mentor1 month agoThat is the danger of using freight forwarders. First, you lose your money back guaranty protection once the item is reshipped. eBay has no way of knowing if the item you received is the same one the seller sent. Second, even if the seller agrees to a return and refund they are only responsible for a shipping label valid from the place they shipped the item to. So they are not responsible for International shipping when they were given a Domestic address to ship to. To return the item you would have to ship the item back to your freight forwarder at your expense and then they would have to use the provided label to return the item back to the seller.
