Problem with buyer
I sold an item last Sunday but the buyer didn’t pay so I cancelled the item. Later that day the buyer contacted me saying that she didn’t realise she had won the auction. She said that she had been in a car accident and had just got home from hospital today. She said she would pay for the item today so I relisted it as a buy it now for the price she bid and won. She’s now saying she can’t find the item. I’ve sent various messages showing her how to find the item but I’m a bit suspicious that she only got in contact today. I think eBay will have contacted her as the item was cancelled. I’m just not sure what to do.

Mentor2 years agoPaying for a new listing won’t get the unpaid cancellation removed from her account, so maybe she changed her mind. eBay sent her payment reminders and the cancellation notice, so I’m thinking she was looking for a different solution, like removing the strike.
You can’t remove the strike - she can contact customer service and tell them she was hospitalized and they will probably remove it.
I’d say there’s nothing more you can do - she either buys it or she doesn’t, perhaps someone else will buy it before she can 🙂
