Problem with a Seller
I really am not sure what to do in this situation. I purchased a Cuisinart single serve coffee maker. When almost three weeks had passed and I had not received this item I asked for a cancellation of the order and a refund. Seller refunded the item and told me the order was cancelled. They then subsequently shipped me two of these machines a couple of days apart. For some reason, Seller has been removed from the eBay platform. They now have opened up a new account and are repeatedly asking me to ship these two machines from OH to CA. I have agreed and asked for two prepaid shipping labels. Seller is asking me to ship the items and they will reimburse me for shipping. I have called eBay customer service twice about this situation. eBay keeps insisting that this is the Sellers problem and they need to send me shipping labels. Seller will not comply. Not sure what to do as I do not want to keep something I did not pay for but I don't think I should be responsible for return shipping charges. Thoughts?

Mentor5 months agoEbay is right. If the seller wants the items back, they will need to send you a prepaid return shipping label.
If they do not provide the labels, you can keep, resell or give away the items.

OP5 months agoI understand that but they have opened up a new account and keep emailing me asking me to return the items and will not give me pre paid shipping labels. Do I just ignore the emails?

Yes. Ignore the emails. The more you respond, the more messages you will get.
There is no need to keep calling eBay to get the same answer. We will give you the same answer here as well.

OP5 months agoYes, I agree but they keep emailing me telling me to return the items. They even went against eBay policy and gave me a name, full address and phone number in CA where to ship these coffee makers. I would like to be done with this whole thing.

Mentor5 months agoBlock their emails since they are not going through proper Ebay channels with the account used to transact with you.

If you would like to be done with this whole thing, then follow the advice you've been given multiple times right here. Ignore the emails.
You can also report the emails to eBay. Click the three dots at the top right of the message to access the report option.

OP5 months agoYes, thank you I did as well as reporting the Seller. I am hoping eBay will step in and contact this person and tell them it is their responsibility to provide me with shipping labels. I am not getting anywhere with the Seller on this matter.

eBay is not going to contact the seller and tell them to send shipping labels. eBay is not involved in this there was no eBay transaction for the unsolicited merchandise you received and you have no legal responsibility to return it. You've already been refunded for what you DID buy.

Mentor5 months agoYep, after you told them they need to send prepaid labels to get it back and they didn't comply I'd be done with them
