Problem with a refund to a client.
I'm new to selling on EBAY, and NOT a professional. I accepted a refund for a client. I was going to wait for the item to arrive before I refunded the money obviously to make sure they returned the product that they received (not big money by they way). The USPS tracking said it was delivered today. I can't find it anywhere. Do I have any recourse at all? Or is that just the risk of commerce via mail?
I assume I'm outa luck. Just curious on others thoughts.

You refunded too soon. Now the buyer is not required to return the item or repay you.

OP3 years agoI haven't refunded the money yet. I'm gonna wait and inspect the item before I do that. The problem is that the USPS says they delivered it to ME today, but I can't find it. It's possible I got porch pirated.

I'm sorry I misunderstood your original post.
If tracking indicates the returned item was delivered to you, you will have to issue a refund.

OP3 years agoSounds like it's between me and the post office now? Which they say the delivered it. I guess as far as EBAY is concerned... case closed?
Not so concerned with the lost money, but being new to EBAY I'm just concerned that this is somehow some kinda hustle that a buyer can run.

Take the tracking number to the post office and have them investigate where they delivered the package.
The package may have been stolen after delivery.
