Problem with a buyer
Buyer purchased item, paid, item sent. Buyer complained item wasn’t sent quick enough. Paid Sunday, posted Tuesday. Unfortunately I underpaid postage so a surcharge is due. Buyer claims they are in hospital and I should pay surcharge. I have offered to refund surcharge, but buyer wants me to pay it. Can I pay the surcharge, if so how do I do that. Buyer messages very odd. I have 100% positive feedback, genuine mistake. Don’t know what to do, buyer seems completely unreasonable. Appears to be new to eBay. Any advice appreciated.

You are asking the US community - most of us do not know how Royal Mail works. In the US, the sender can not pay the postage due.
You could call your local post office and ask them if you can pay the amount due. Or ask the UK community.
