Problem placing bid

Question

I am trying to bid on an item. I keep getting a message from ebaying "Oops! We are having trouble connecting to the server. Please refresh browser." I push the "refresh browser" option and same message agin. Is the problem on my end or is it an ebay problem?

If using another browser does not help, is there anything odd about your network connection? Using a VPN, hotspot or Starlink network, for instance? Those can cause issues.

Try bidding using another device, such as a mobile phone, preferably when not connected to your usual WiFi.

I finally used my cell phone (which I never do) to place my bid. It worked fine. I still do know what happened.

Are you still having the problem? Have you tried using a different browser to eliminate that as the cause?
