probably my worst experience on ebay
i’ll try to shorten this as much as i can and i can post the rest of the conversation but it’s over 50 screenshots long. i had purchased a very rare statue from this seller and it came with broken and missing pieces. i contacted the seller. he said he’d look for it and after a few days of him looking for it and him telling me his life’s story and also that he’s not in control of the account and that it’s multiple people and that “he’s just a middle man- the piece never turns up and he “still looking for it everywhere”
it had been about 5 days since i received the item and nothing had been resolved so i asked for my money back and he offered to “send me anything from my shop free of charge.” and that “ the owner wouldnt even notice”
so i choose, but it’s way too expensive of a trade off. so i contact ebay to request a return. i let the seller know and this was the reply i got

Quit communicating with the seller.
Did you open the return with a reason such as 'broken,missing pieces"
If so, you should have been provided a return label.
Return the item. When the seller gets the item back, you will be refunded. If the seller doesn't refund, you can ask eBay to step in and force the refund.
Your seller's problems are not your problem and it is useless to try to work it out with him.
You ordered and paid for a product. You get the product (intact and as advertised) or you get a refund.
The rest is just fluff. Let the eBay money back guarantee work for you.
