    Why does EBay allow "private listings"?  I want to know that competitive bids are legitimate and not just running up the price.  I recognize the importance of an option for unique and/or expensive items, but "Reconditioned Watches" hardly qualifies...  Does anyone else find this a questionable policy?

    All bidders’ and buyers’ identities are now hidden, or masked. The private listing really only hides some details in the feedback pages now.
