It's been a minute since I've done eBay....how can I explore sold items and amount purchased for?

Do a search. When the list has been returned to you go to the LEFT side bar and scroll down to the Sold filter, check that box.
The list will update to what has sold in the last 90 days on eBay.
If you use Seller hub the Research tab has Product research (Tera peak) that goes back about 350 days: Product Research - eBay Seller Hub
My experience with this is that I have to tweak the keyword search more to get what I am actually looking for.
