Price gouging
Is there a way to report a seller for price gouging? There's an album that just came out and the artist is selling it for $15 plus shipping. The eBay seller is selling it for $49.99 plus shipping. That's awful. I sent the listing to the artist and I'm hoping he might be able to do something about it.

Most states have price gouging laws but I would suspect they do not pertain to music recordings or at least are not intended to.
One thing to keep in mind is that the Artist already made their profit / royalty on the album when it was initially purchased so it's not like they are losing money.
Unless there is a Vero issue the Seller can set whatever price they want to sell the album.
I suggest that you Watch the item and see if it actually sells for what the Seller is asking or if over time they wind up reducing the price closer to retail.

Mentor2 years agoPrice gouging only applies to items deemed critical in an emergency. Otherwise, it is a free market, sellers can ask whatever they think a buyer might pay.
The only ones with any influence are the buyers - if they don’t pay the inflated price, the seller will get the message.
